How well do we know our neighbors or even those closest to us? The Old Town Playhouse’s senior readers’ theatre group, Aged to Perfection, presents three one-act plays exploring the mysteries of whom we can trust. In “The Goofy Groom” from The Thin Man radio program, Nick and Nora Charles investigate who is trying to kill their friend and his new bride, with comic results. The classic drama, Trifles, by Susan Glaspell presents us with a man murdered in his bed. Although his wife is the obvious suspect, can the evidence and motives be found to prove her guilt? And from the radio comedy, The Fabulous Dr. Tweedy, when Dr. Tweedy, PhD, attempts to evict a homeless gent living on the fringes of his college, does his soft heart and trusting nature lead to betrayal?
