The Energy and Natural Resources Committee of the League of Women Voters Leelanau County will host a forum entitled Sharing Anishinaabe History and Culture: Putting Indigenous Values into Practice on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at noon at the Eyaawing Museum and Cultural Center on North West Bay Shore (M22) in Peshawbestown.  The presenters will be Hank Bailey, Grand Traverse Band Natural Resources retiree and keeper of stories; Joanne Cook , Grand Traverse Band  tribal member and NMC educator; and Jonathan Aylward ,Grand Traverse Band  Natural Resources biologist and  water quality specialist. Come meet your Anishinabek neighbors and enrich your understanding of indigenous cultural and environmental wisdom. The public is invited.  LWVLC business meeting to follow presentation.
