Group Camping at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has a number of group camping options. Check below for information and links to online reservations. Reservations can be made at some locations (links below) or by calling the Reservation Center at 1-877-444-6777. If you have questions, call the park at 231-326-4700, ext. 5010.
D. H. Day Group Campground
Located at the end of Harwood road about one mile north of the Dune Climb. This campground accommodates tents only for groups of 7-25 people. There are 4 sites and all are reservable. Reservations are required between May 1 and October 15.
Fees/night = $30.00 with no reservation or $33.00 when reserved. Online Reservations for DH Day Group Campground.
Platte River Group Campground
These sites are hike-in and accommodate tents only for groups of 7-25 people. There are a total of 5 sites and all are reservable. Reservations are required from May 1 through October 15.
Fees/night = $40.00 with no reservation or $43.00 when reserved.
South Manitou Island – Bay Group Campground
These sites accommodate groups of 9-20 people and up to 10 tents. There are 3 sites and all are reservable. Reservations are required from the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend through mid-September.
Fees/night = $20.00 with no reservation and $23.00 when reserved. Online reservations for South Manitou Group Campgrounds.
South Manitou Island – Weather Station Group Campground
These sites accommodate groups of 9-20 people and up to 10 tents. There are 3 sites and all are reservable. Reservations are required from the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend through mid-September.
Fees/night = $20.00 with no reservation and $23.00 when reserved. Online reservations for South Manitou Group Campgrounds.
North Manitou Island – Group Camping
There are an unlimited number of sites, but groups are limited in size to 5-10 people.
Fees/night are $10.00. No reservations necessary.
