Logo Contest

The Crystal Lake Association is looking for a new logo that represents the values and mission of the association. The logo that will depict our lake and our work to preserve it for future generations. This logo will be used on stationery, newsletters and other published materials. Visit their Contest Page for more information about the Lake Association.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all. Ideal for those who care about the environment and with to protect it. Beneficial for those who need exposure and published work for their portfolio.
SUBMISSIONS: Present your design as black and white artwork, 8 1/2" by 11". Include your name, address and phone with all entries. Send to P. O. Box 89, Beulah, Michigan 49617. Entries will not be returned after the contest. You may enter as many times as you wish.
DEADLINE: Postmarked by May 24, 1997.
WINNING ENTRY: The Association Board of Directors will choose the winning entry. The winning design must be provided as camera-ready art and will become the sole property of the Crystal Lake Association. The winner will be notified by phone and the winning design wil be presented as our Annual Meeting on July 26, 1997. We will mail a sample of the winning design to our media list. The prize for the winning entry will be $300.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S ART SHOW

April 25-27, 1997
CALL FOR ENTRIES
WHO: Anyone in grades K-12, including Special Ed., Alternative Ed. and Home Schoolers, living in Northwestern Michigan is eligible to enter.
Come see the artists of the future at the NMAC Young People's Art Show. The show features the work of northwestern Michigan students Kindergarten through 12 Grades and will open Friday, April 25th at 6:30pm with a reception and awards ceremony.

Cash prizes will be awarded for First, Second and Third Place in age categories 10-14 and 15-18. All entrants will receive a ribbon and all work will be on display!

The show closes Sunday, April 27th at 4pm. Winners' art will be displayed the month of May in Grand Traverse area Old Kent Bank locations. Join us!
WHAT: 1-2 original artworks in any medium made after April 1, 1996. Bring works ready to show (2-D works ready to hang - not necessary to frame), with needed stands, hardware, etc.
WHEN: Bring artwork Monday-Thursday, April 21-23 from 9am-1pm and Thursday, April 24th 3pm-6:30pm DEADLINE or make prior arrangements with NMAC.
WHERE: NMAC Art Center, 720 S. Elmwood at 11th St., Traverse City, two blocks from Munson Medical Center.
