Other stories included a very interesting multimedia feature about a skateboard-based curriculum being developed in Traverse City and news that Leland’s Alisha Glass was selected as Michigan Female Athlete of the Year.
The photo above is of the beautifully restored City Opera House in downtown Traverse City. Here’s a number of photo galleries (be sure to check out the historical pics!)

I saw Seussical last night and it was great! Large, talented cast and a lot of fun for children of every age. Hats off to director Jeremy Evans and the Leland & St. Marys students involved!
Congrats to all! In particular, best wishes to Jacob Poirier and J.R. Duval for doing a
great job as JoJo, sharing a challenging role for anyone, let alone 6th graders, and
supporting each other along the way. You are exhibiting true professionalism. I am proud
of you both. And Who would think a think? That in all of WhoLelandom, such a small Who
place would sound such a Who volume! Surely, Horton did think that think! Go! Enjoy!
