LELAND FIREWORKS MOVED TO HANCOCK FIELD
    Friday, July 3, 2009

The Leland Community Improvement Association has moved the Fireworks Display to Hancock Field due to the lack of beach and a safe radius area at our normal launch site on Lake Michigan.

Hancock Field is located on Union Street, but the display should be visible from many locations in Leland. The Leland Township Fire and Rescue Department will be helping with traffic flow and temporary street closings.

We ask that visitors respect the property rights of homeowners, the Leland County Club, and Leland Township. We apologize for any inconvenience this change will cause, but safety and meeting regulations standards are the most important issues.
