“The Little Thrift Shop with a Big Heart”

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those in need in the Leelanau County community.

Samaritan’s Closet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit thrift shop (id# 30-0534567) that accepts donations of gently used clothing, household items, books and furniture. Merchandise is offered at very affordable prices, allowing many of our customers to purchase needed items they might not be able to afford otherwise.

Net proceeds from the sale of these donated items are allocated to Leelanau Christian Neighbors Neighborhood Assistance Ministries, and other programs that support Leelanau County families facing financial crises due to loss of income, unexpected medical expenses, and other unforeseen life challenges.

We are independent of religious or government affiliation, and welcome people of all ethnicities. Our focus area is to provide assistance for circumstances not covered by other nonprofit, state or federal programs.
