The Milky Way over Leelanau
Matthew Eddy shared a photo from this beautiful time-lapse in the Leelanau (dot com) pool on Flickr. He shot it over several July nights on the Leelanau Peninsula near the Sleeping Bear Dunes (School Lake) and on the Zeits farm.

Wow! I grew up in Michigan and I tell my kids about the Milky Way, but they have never even seen it! We live in California where scenes like this are only a distant memory. Thanks for showing that such beauty still exists!
That’s too bad Michele – can I suggest a trip to Mt Shasta? I camped there once and the stars were AMAZING up at Panther Meadows.
