The TC Ticker reports that the Michigan Air National Guard’s 127th Wing will be conducting a flyover of Traverse City today (Tuesday, May 12):
According to the Grand Traverse County Covid-19 Joint Operations Center, the Guard will be flying four A-10 Thunderbolts – also called Warthogs – over Traverse City. The aircraft will fly over downtown and Munson Medical Center at 2:45pm. The flight will be in conjunction with a similar flyover from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels in Detroit.
Also, the 127th Wing is holding a Michigan Strong Flyover Contest. Capture your best photo of the Tankers or the Hawgs and submit it through their Facebook page’s private messenger for a chance to win squadron patches and a signed photograph! After all submissions are turned in, they will choose a winner and create an album sharing everyone’s photos.
