Plow Day at Ruby Ellen Farm ~ Sunday, May 19th

Plow Day 2024Historic Ruby Ellen Farm celebrates its agricultural heritage on Sunday, May 19th, 11am-4pm at 5946 S. Center Hwy, Bingham Township.

“Gentle Giant” draft horses, courtesy of the Northwest Michigan Draft Horse and Mule Association will plow the soil as was done by the farm’s early settlers. Wagon rides, harnessing and other demos, museums, hands-on activities, free seedlings for kids, a miniature horse, Model A from the Leelanau Historical Society, will be showcased. There will also be free sunflower seedlings (while supplies last) and seedlings from the Archangel Ancient Tree Archive.
