News from the Week
The top story for the week was news that Glen Lake had issued layoff notices for 11 teachers to address an estimated $712,430 budget shorfall for the 2006-07 school year.
Other stories included a denied request for development rezoning in Empire, news that the Suttons Bay Library will seek an operating millage, a discussion thread about Sugar Loaf one year after new ownership, and a really cool Record-Eagle multimedia feature on Suttons Bay’s prom fashion show to benefit Project Hero.
