Cedar City Market opens in Cedar
UpNorth Live reports that the Cedar City Market has officially opened at the former Pleva’s Meats location in Cedar:
The new market is a specialty grocery and full-service butchery offering clean label, Michigan-sourced products. Staff said the idea was to bring the concepts of Pleva’s Meats and the original Cedar City Market together to create a modern butchery.
“It’s an absolute honor. Ray Pleva is a fantastic person and has done a lot for the community, and it a wealth of knowledge when it comes to butchery, charcuterie, and sausage making and the reputation that Phil has next door is also wonderful what he did with the clean label foods and such like that,” said Butcher James Westbrook. “I could not be more excited. this has been a dream of mine for the past probably 10 years since I graduated from culinary school, and it has now come to fruition, and I’ve got a great opportunity here.”
Cedar City Market is open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
