News from the Week

The week’s top story was the unveiling of the new logo and marketing campaign for the cherry industry. The slogan is “Cherries. Not just another berry.” and the new brand was designed for the Lansing-based Cherry Marketing Institute by “Got Milk” creator Jeff Manning. Other stories included a feature on new Suttons Bay Schools Superintendent Mike Murray, an Enterprise feature on everything that’s brewing in Leelanau tourism marketing, and (speaking of brewing) a review of the Leelanau Brewing Company’s Good Harbor Golden. There was also a nice photo from the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

The Week’s Weather

We had snow (lots of it) and week had cold (even single digits) and there was even some sun (not much, but some). It was a great week for lovers of winter and Leelanau is ready and waiting for winter fun!
