Pumpkin patch. by John Levanen

Post your comments about the week’s news, observations of the weather or the natural world or events below!
The stories this week featured a couple of great events that we hope you didn’t miss, The 11 Oaks 3rd annual “Gardens for Africa” Music Fest and Leelanau Remembers – Oral History Presentation . If you didn’t catch them, be sure to read more about them.   An event that you should not miss, happening this weekend is Great Lakes Bioneers Conference in Traverse City. We also featured a story on Stefan Habsburg-Lothringen, who’s grave is in the cemetery of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church near Gill’s Pier. We can always count on StacyN from Michigan Moments to wow us with one of her amazing photos. Check out her photo Elements 7283-09, our Photo Friday feature this week.

You’ll also want to check out the Leelanau Calendar and the latest news and features from Leelanau, Traverse City and the surrounding area in our blog! Here’s the October 2008 archive, and Leelanau Almanac for the Week of October 1 – 8.
