I actually don’t know what my dad would have titled this photo, but I think that because he was a fan of words, he probably would have titled it something. You can check out a few more of his photos (including another shot of this maple tree & bucket from further away) or allow me to pull out the projector and cue up the slideshow.
All around the county and Michigan’s north people are driving spiles into trees and collecting the sap that spills out. If you have a maple tree or two, I encourage you to seek out a few spiles and try tapping a maple tree or two and making maple syrup. It’s pretty easy and a great way to connect with Michigan.
