Sugar Loaf sale to Leelanau Conservancy is official!

The Leelanau Conservancy shares that the land transfer of Sugar Loaf Mountain to the Conservancy is officially complete, permanently protecting the iconic Leelanau landmark!

They add that while ownership has officially transferred, Sugar Loaf is not yet open to the public, so it’ll be a minute before you can recreate my 2016 shot from the top of Devil’s Elbow. Over the coming months, their team will begin the careful work of preparing the property so it can one day welcome visitors safely and responsibly.
