Had a major scare last night that reinforces how dangerous driving is – hope everyone remembers how important it is to be safe on the roads! Suttons Bay Streetscape now onlinePlanning documents for the new Suttons Bay Streetscape Project for St. Joseph/M22 through Suttons Bay are posted online. A series of four workshops gathered input from the public with the goal of creating a safe and calm traffic system while achieving a streetscape design that addresses the needs of the community and preserves the present character of the Village. FEATURED EVENTHarvest Stompede Wine Trail Weekend ~ September 18 & 19 The Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association’s annual Harvest Stompede Vineyard Run & Walk and Wine Tour takes place takes place Saturday September 18 & Sunday September 19. Race registration is now closed, but it’s a great event for spectators as well with a ONE OF A KIND course that winds through vineyard rows. The Harvest Stompede Wine Tour follows the race and offers a special pour and food pairing. Recognizing that nothing goes better with local wine than local food, the 18 wineries of the Leelanau Wine Trail will each be featuring local items in their food pairings!
Leland Heritage Celebration ~ September 18 & 19, 2010 2010 Leelanau Farmer’s Markets continue in Northport on Friday mornings and in Empire and Suttons Bay on Saturday mornings with lots of great produce and products available.
