The Weather

KAScott_20100905_8931abKen Scott took this photo at the Pyramid Point Overlook in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore – if you’ve never seen this view of the Manitou Islands, you should definitely lace up your hiking and head out!

It’s an even 70 degrees under sunny skies at 1:45 PM at Leelanau Coffee Roasting in Glen Arbor. The record high for a September 10th was 96 degrees in 1931, but we came closer to the record low of 33 from 1967 with our early morning reading of 47. Look for sun and 70 for the rest of the day and not as cool overnight. For the weekend, expect mostly cloudy skies with rain possible and highs in the 60s. Sunday we’ll see sun and 70s!
