39th Annual Cedar Polka Fest this weekend!
The 39th Annual Cedar Polka Fest kicks off this Thursday, August 26th in Cedar under the big tent and runs through Sunday, August 29th. Polka Fest is an annual festival celebrating the towns rich Polish history. Lasting 4 days and nights, nearly 10,000 people descend into town for family fun.
This is one of very few Polka Festivals left in the United States featuring live Polka music from the best Polka bands in America along with food vendors offer beer, polish food, ribs, hotdogs, popcorn and so much more. Kids will enjoy games, while adults will indulge in the unique atmosphere that only Polka can create.
The festival kicks off Thursday at 5 PM with First Responder Appreciation Night featuring the flag raising & national anthem followed by Polka from 5 to 11 PM. Music runs 5 – 11:30 on Friday & Saturday with highlights Saturday including the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast, the Run 4 the Kielbasa & Hagerty Insurance Pol Car Fest, Classic Car & Motorcycle Show on Saturday morning, the Polka Fest Parade at 1 PM. Saturday is also Kid’s Day with the Scottville Clown Band making an appearance & of course, Polka from 5:30 – 11:30. On Sunday you can enjoy the annual Polka Mass, Craft Fair & Farmers Market and Cornhole Tournament.
