2025 Empire Asparagus Festival ~ Saturday, June 7th
The 2025 Empire Asparagus Festival takes over the village on Saturday, June 7th. It’s one of Leelanau’s most local & original festivals and you should definitely check it out!!

Drink Vendors: Right Brain Brewery, Lake Ann Brewery, and St. Ambrose Cellars!

Schedule of Events
- 10:00am- Kick-yer- Assparagus 5km Fun Run Walk
- Noon- Recipe Contest in the Township Hall, Front St., Empire
- Noon to 6pm- Asparagus Eats with Food vendors local Breweries & Music
- 1-2 PM: Empire Area Museum Open House
- 2 PM Ode to Asparagus Poetry Contest, Glen Lake Community Library Front St. in EMPIRE
- 2-4 PM: “Miss Asparagus on Stilts”
- 3-4 PM: Children’s Magic Show with Gordon Russ
The Glen Lake Library invites you to help celebrate the Empire Asparagus Festival with their Ode to Asparagus.
Poets young and old are encouraged to submit their asparagus-inspired poems. All styles are welcome!
Admission is just $10 with children under 16 free & proceeds benefit the Empire Area Chamber of Commerce! Click for all the details!!
