Glen Arbor Players present My Weekend in the Catskills
The Glen Arbor Players will start their 2021 season with My Weekend in the Catskills, the Michigan premier of a rollicking comedy by playwright Vince Rhomberg of St. Louis. It is the second of his plays that the troupe has performed. The first, A Long Hot September, was also a comedy and received rave reviews. GAP veteran Teddy House directs the play which features five actors with over 100 years of total stage experience.
The story is a simple one, two women and two men, all widowed, attend a sexy Jewish seniors weekend at a Catskills resort in the hopes of finding romance. Well, maybe it’s not so simple. How do these four individuals awaken their souls from grief and develop restorative relationships over just a weekend?
Performances are at the Glen Lake Church, 4902 W. Macfarlane Road, Glen Arbor on July 8th , 9th and 10th at 7:30 pm. Attendance is free, and goodwill contributions are welcomed. Refreshments will be served.
