News from the Week
The news is basically that we returned from a summer break – stay tuned!
The Week’s Weather
We had probably the nicest Labor Day Weekend I can remember – sunny & 80s (even into the 90s). Things have cooled down some but we’re still in one of the best times of year to be in Leelanau.
August 28, 2008: Mostly sunny & upper 70s (81/60)
August 29, 2008: Partly cloudy & 70s (77/57)
August 30, 2008: Sunny & 80s (84/53)
August 31, 2008: Sunny & 90 (90/57)
September 1, 2008: Sunny & high 80s (89/60)
September 2, 2008: Sunny & low 90s (93/61)
September 3, 2008: Partly sunny & low 70s (75/60)
Great picture! The weather before Labor Day was awesome, great for astrophotographers like myself. Check out pictures of Jupiter, Neptune, the Ring Nebula, and Dumbbell Nebula taken during the two weeks prior to Labor Day at the Hahnenberg Observatory at http://www.astronomy-leelanau.blogspot.com.
