News from the Week
The top story of the week was obviously the tremendous warmup that we enjoyed on April 1st that allowed all 37 of us who remained in Leelanau over Spring Break. Other stories included the launch of the Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association’s Second Friday evening wine events, a community wind energy movement in Empire, Saturdays at the Lakeshore and a neat photo of summertime on the Empire Bluffs.
March 26, 2009: Mostly cloudy & 40s (48/34)

March 28, 2009: Partly sunny, breezy & 30s (38/26)
March 29, 2009: Heavy early morning snow (5-7″) and then more snow and wind (33/30)
March 30, 2009: Some sun, flurries & 30 (35/28)
March 31, 2009: Cloudy, light rain & 40s (47/27)
April 1, 2009: Sunny & low 90s (93/88)
The Week’s Weather
With the exception of the crazy weather on the 1st of April, it was cool and winterish, punctuated by a big dump of snow.
