News from the Week

The top story of the week was the official relighting of the South Manitou Island Lighthouse on October 4, 2008. I’m lucky enough to be able to see it shining every morning as I head to work and I have to tell you that it’s a beautiful sight! This week also saw a feature in USA today tapping the Leelanau wine trail as one of four up and coming trails in the nation and the launch of The Grand Vision, a six county project that seeks to build a shared vision for transportation and land use in our region.
