Leelanau kicks off the 2025 winter season in style!

Last night the folks at Michigan Storm Chasers highlighted Leelanau as their overachiever of lake effect snow so far after a couple locations just to the south of Peshawbestown recorded nearly a foot of snow, with the top location right on the Grand Traverse Bay reporting 11” of snow since snowfall began yesterday. The lake effect band had an impact across Leelanau County with multiple accidents and a few reports of power outages.
