The Weather
Mark caught took stunning photo Sandhill Crane on May 1st in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore!
It’s 53 degrees under cloudy skies at 9 PM at Leelanau Coffee Roasting in Glen Arbor. The record high for a May 5th was an even 90 set in 1959 with the low of 24 recorded in 1968. If you’re wondering what the eventual World Series Champion Detroit Tigers were doing on that day, the answer is beating the California Angels 5-2, led by the bats of Mickey Stanley and Bill Freehan and the pitching of 4-0 Denny McClain! Expect cloudy skies overnight with scattered showers. Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and mid 40s are on tap for Friday. The weekend outlook calls for sunny skies and 50s on Saturday and sun and 60s for Mother’s Day!
