2025 Leelanau Strawberry Season is underway!

Our friends at the Bardenhagen Berries Farm share on their Facebook page that although it seems like taken forever for their fields to ripen up, they are finally READY TO GO!!

Starting today (June 19), unless they are rained out, they will have their roadside farm stand (self-serve) open and staffed from 9 am – 12 noon. They will plan to pick strawberries pretty much every day that they aren’t stopped by the rain & will voicemail at 231-271-3026 daily by 8:30 AM with information about strawberry availability for the day.

Strawberry season usually last 16-20 days, but they are anticipating a shorter than normal system than usual due to weather, and will make updates on Facebook and Instagram with up to date information on where to find their strawberries at places including Northport (Friday), Glen Arbor (next Tuesday), and Sara Hardy Farmers Market downtown Traverse City on Wednesday and Saturday. They also plan to deliver some to a few different grocery stores (Hansen’s Grocery, Leland Mercantile, etc.) where it will be convenient to grab a quart!
