Fox Island Lighthouse Association gets a new website

South Fox Island Light Station

South Fox Island Light Station by Dusty Klifman / Blueyes Below

In the “tooting our own horn” category comes news from the Fox Island Lighthouse Association about their new website. They share:

“For more than a decade we have had the same site, full of history, photos, links and oh so much information. But it was not so easy to navigate or view on different platforms. With the help of Andy McFarlane of Leelanau.com and our internal team: Shawn Denton, Cathy Allchin, Karen Wells, Linda Posler and Kathy Sanders, we have created something amazing!”

“I really like the set-up, the ease to get to a topic that interests you— this is vastly better than the old site. Kudos to whomever designed & developed!! Awesome!!” Anna S.

Some of the new features include cool drone footage of the station provided by diver/photographer Dusty Klifman of Blueyes Below, a gallery of images for each building, live Facebook feed, secure credit cards for donation.

Definitely head over to southfoxlighthouse.org to learn more about & support this Leelanau County historical resource!

PS: Dusty has a ton of really cool photos & videos of shipwrecks & other maritime subjects on his Facebook page.
