Grand Traverse Earth Day Parade

“Pedal Power” is the theme of the 2010 Grand Traverse Earth Day Parade, celebrating the 40th Anniversery of Earth Day.  Deck out your bike, trike, wagon, scooter!  What kind of “petal/pedal” can you be?  Parade Rules are to keep it safe and simple, no pets, no words, and no motors.  Meet at Central Grade School at Noon, Saturday, April 24.

Also, Little Artshram works with Rhythmic Adventures and a slew of friends and volunteers to organize and build the annual Grand Traverse Earth Day Parade with months of preparation in our Earth Day Community Art Studio, beginning in January and up until the annual spring celebration in April. This year you can bring your music-making instrument and join the Earth Day Parade Band(s) at the corner of Pine and 7th streets at noon, on Saturday April 24th (bad weather date, May 1st).  For music-making details, contact Dede Alderman: dedealderman@charter.net

A community picnic at Hannah Park will be held directly after the parade. Pack it in – pack it out..this is a zero trash event.
