Election Results: Northport, Elmwood Recalls Fail
In yesterday’s elections, it appears that Derith Smith fought off a recall attempt 687-586 and that Northport’s Village President and six other trustees retained their seats. In school elections, all districts approved the millage renewal, Northport voters selected Denise Holland and Susan Cordes as trustees, Leland chose Peter Snead, Terri Kelty ran unopposed for the Suttons Bay seat and Glen Lake voters selected Roger F. Mikowski and write-in candidate David Harris and approved a sinking fund of 1 mill for 5 years.
